NGE – Natural Gas Engines
New employees to midstream gas compression? The Natural Gas Engine (NGE) course is the perfect place to start. Starting from the beginning with the 2-stroke and 4-stroke cycle it covers the fundamentals of all systems of industrial engines used for gas compression. Both Caterpillar and Waukesha engines are referenced as examples. The only prerequisite is a basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
GETM (Gas Engine Technology & Maintenance)
The GETM course course provides the foundation for all other courses and is recommended as a prerequisite. Here, you’ll learn the operating principles and major systems of industrial stationary gas engines. This course is available as either a 3 day seminar, or as a full 4.5 day course including daily homework and the final exam.
ESM-W (Waukesha* – Engine System Manager)
The ESM-W course explains Waukesha’s ESM electronic engine control. ESM-W is available as a 3 day seminar, or as a 4.5 day course with daily homework and course exam. It is recommended to complete the GETM course before enrolling in ESM-W.
VGF-W (Waukesha* – VGF Engine Technology)
This course is Waukesha VGF-specific. It is recommended to complete the GETM course before enrolling into this course.
VHP-W (Waukesha* – VHP Engine Technology)
This course is Waukesha* VHP-specific. The VHP-W course explains Waukesha’s VHP Series engine products. It is recommended to complete the GETM course before enrolling into VHP-W.
PGT (Power Generation Technology)
It is recommended to complete the GETM course before enrolling into this course. PGT is a 3 day primer in electric power generation. It provides the base from which to build a thorough understanding of gen-set operation, troubleshooting, and application.
