Waukesha∗ – Engine System Manager

Course Outline

This course provides a thorough treatment of the Engine System Manager (ESM*), Waukesha’s total engine control system. Here, the first version of ESM is addressed from each component all the way through troubleshooting the system. The first ESM version has been replaced by ESM2 and AFR2 on all Series 5 engines. The updates of ESM2/AFR2 are also discussed. This is a full 4.5 day with daily homework and a last-day course exam. A shorter, overview seminar is also available upon request.

Who should attend?
Attendees must be familiar with gas engine principles. It is highly recommended that attendees have first taken the full GETM course and successfully passed the exam. Anyone who interfaces with and wants a deeper understanding of the ESM control will benefit from this course – parts and service personnel, operators, and Instrumentation and Electrical engineers.
